COâ‚‚ Offset Through Biochar
To achieve climate neutrality, WEtell relies on biochar projects. In these projects, COâ‚‚ is extracted from forestry and organic residues, compressed into biochar, and permanently stored in the soil – an effective measure for COâ‚‚ reduction. Investments in Renewable Energy
In addition to offsetting emissions, WEtell invests directly in the expansion of renewable energy. For instance, WEtell has already acquired cooperative shares worth €100,000 in Prokon, which contribute to projects like the construction of the Friedersdorf wind farm in Brandenburg. This makes WEtell tariffs even climate-positive – generating more renewable energy than they consume. Â
