Wind Farm Dennin

The Prokon Wind farm Dennin is located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania near the village of Dennin, which belongs to the municipality of Spantekow in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald. There are a total of three wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 10.8MW. Since its commissioning in February 2023, approximately 9,500 households per year can be supplied with green electricity on a balance sheet basis. The three wind turbines have a total height of 200 meters each and generate around 33 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Originally, eight wind turbines could not be approved due to aviation concerns in the initial permit application. Due to new technological possibilities, more turbine locations are now approvable at the Dennin site. Therefore, Prokon has prepared a corresponding new permit application - now with more powerful wind turbines.
