From Itzehoe to Europe: Our Country Subsidiaries
Prokon New Energy Poland Sp. z o. o.
Since 2007, Prokon Poland has been active in the planning, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy sources from Gdansk. The 7-member team has a wide portfolio of projects in development as well as their own wind farms throughout Poland. Eight employees are responsible for on-site service and maintenance.
Prokon Wind Energy Finland Oy
In Finland, Prokon has been active since 2011 with a specially founded company. The 9-member team of Prokon Finland is based in the port city of Vaasa and has already implemented a number of projects in the planning and construction phase in various locations in Finland - including over 200 wind turbines.
Prokon New Energy Spain, S.L.
With a planning office for photovoltaic open spaces, Prokon has been active in the Spanish capital since 2021. From Madrid, project possibilities across Spain are being assessed and initiated. In the medium term, hybrid power plant concepts involving wind, PV, storage, and hydrogen are also conceivable there.
Prokon Regenerative Energies Cooperative
Born out of the idea of offering an alternative to nuclear power, PROKON Energiesysteme GmbH was founded on 20 October 1995 as a small project development office in northern Germany. Today, Prokon eG is one of the largest energy cooperatives in Europe. Back then, it started as a group of rebels opposing nuclear energy; today, it operates 400 wind turbines across Europe.
