By becoming a member, your company acquires shares in Prokon and ensures that we can continue to grow as an energy cooperative, thereby steadily increasing the share of renewable energies in the German electricity mix. As a member, each company also has a voice in the shareholders' meeting. Here, the course of Prokon is discussed, the bodies are discharged, the supervisory board is elected, and decisions are made on the further expansion of wind and solar parks. Companies and associations can also become members of Prokon eG and have very different reasons for doing so. We recently started an intensive partnership with the sustainable mobile provider WEtell and are very excited about the collaboration.

For a company's membership, proof that the company exists is required. Additionally, there must be a contact person who is authorised to sign contracts on behalf of the company. To register, you simply need to follow the steps in the online form linked below. Once the membership application has been received, approval will be granted by our board. Your company will then be assigned a membership number, with which you can log in directly to the members' area. You will then have 14 days to pay for your shares. Please note that companies only have the option to pay via bank transfer.
One share corresponds to 50 euros. We recommend that companies acquire at least 50 shares. This way, your company makes a visible and sustainable contribution to climate protection: with a contribution of just 2,500 euros, your company ensures a CO2 saving of over six tonnes! As a member, you are not only supporting us in investing in new wind and solar power plants, but you are also enhancing your company's image. We are happy to issue membership certificates and provide marketing materials to confirm your company's commitment. Moreover, your company will also benefit from the annual dividend, which has been between 3 and 5 percent in recent years.
Good to know: If you use Prokon commercial electricity, which is 100 percent generated from our own wind turbines, you will further improve your company’s CO2 balance. You can find more information about Prokon commercial electricity under green energy for businesses.
The dividend is paid based on performance and decided annually by the general meeting. In recent years, the dividend has been between 3 and 5 percent. If you would like to learn more about our financial development, you can find our financial reports here.
As a member, your company also has the opportunity to participate in our sponsorship programme, which is currently being developed. Your company can sponsor an entire wind farm, further promoting the expansion of renewable energy. The programme offers many benefits for companies: it enhances the company's image and credibility through an official seal and certificate. By communicating the sponsorship together via social media, the website, events, and reports in the community magazine "Prokon-Journal", which is sent to business partners, members, and energy customers, the company's reach is increased.
