1. Transferring and Inheriting

Transfer or inherit assets

Your membership with Prokon lasts your whole life - and beyond. Even if it is not a pleasant topic, many members are concerned with the question of how they want to deal with their shares in old age or at the end of their lives. We have compiled all the information you need here.

    Transfer or inherit balance

Passing on cooperative shares – for the next generation

Many members want to make timely arrangements – including with regard to their membership at Prokon. But it is much more than just a financial investment: it stands for sustainability, responsibility, and a lived energy transition.

So why cancel, when you can simply pass on your commitment?

By transferring your cooperative share – either in full or in part – you can give the gift of the future. For example, to your children, grandchildren or people who are close to your heart. In this way, your contribution to the energy transition stays alive and continues to work towards a sustainable energy future.

    Two simple ways to transfer

    Automatically inherited:

In the event of inheritance, your membership is automatically transferred to the heirs.

    Transfer during lifetime:

You can consciously pass on your cooperative share today – with "warm hands".

    Alle Vorteile auf einen Blick

      Already cancelled?

No problem! A transfer is still possible until your cancellation becomes effective. This way, your commitment remains part of the energy transition – for you, your family, and future generations.

      Transfer credit

As a member, you can easily transfer your business capital to another person at any time through a written contract, who is already a member of Prokon or becomes one. You can also transfer a part of your business capital and thereby reduce the number of your business shares.

        It's as simple as that

        Message to us

Notification to us, with the following information:

        1. Name and address of the transferring member

        2. Membership number of the transferring member

        3. Is this a partial transfer or a complete transfer of the business credit?

        4. The business credit to be transferred in Euros

        5. Name and address of the transferee

        6. Membership number of the transferee (if available or known)

        Sign the form

As soon as we receive the information, we will send a pre-filled transfer form, either to you as the transferring member or to the acquirer of the business shares, as per your preference. For the transfer to be legally effective, please send the transfer form, signed by both contractual parties, in its original form per post to:

        Prokon Regenerative Energien eG
        Kirchhoffstraße 3
        25524 Itzehoe

        Approval by the board

The transfer of your business credit becomes effective once the executive board approves the admission of the acquirer to Prokon eG or the acquisition of additional business shares.
