For the repowering project in the Horst wind farm, Prokon secured state-guaranteed EEG remuneration in the February 2026 auction for three of the four planned turbines (21 MW). This means that the majority of the project is now economically secured.
The tender was significantly oversubscribed and highly competitive: with a bid value of 5.64 ct/kWh, Prokon was exactly at the threshold for being awarded a contract. One turbine missed out in the lottery and will be resubmitted.
In the Horst wind farm, it is planned to replace eight old turbines with four new Nordex turbines (N163), each with an output of 7 MW.
At the same time, Prokon was able to achieve further important project successes: three turbines (V163, each 7.2 MW) have been approved for the Sinntal wind farm, as has a second turbine in the Haßloch wind farm (V162, 7.2 MW).
