Become visible together for renewable energy
On 9 October 2026, the “Alliance for Renewable Energy” is calling for a demonstration in Berlin. Prokon is also supporting the cross-industry call and is committed to reliable framework conditions for the continued expansion of renewable energies.
Under the motto “Renewable energy: expanding instead of slowing down”, companies, employees, associations and civil society organisations will come together in Berlin on 9 October. The demonstration will take place at 2 p.m. on the Reichstag lawn.
The background is the planned changes to the Renewable Energy Sources Act and the so-called grid package. From the alliance’s point of view, these could create new barriers to investment in renewable energy. Among other things, it is calling for greater planning certainty, reliable investment conditions and faster expansion of grids, storage and digitalisation.
Warum wir den Aufruf unterstützen
“As an energy co-operative, we have been developing, building and operating wind and solar projects for many years. Every day, we see how important reliable framework conditions are for new projects – from securing land and obtaining permits to financing and implementation.
If legal requirements make long-term investment more difficult or create uncertainty, this does not affect individual companies alone. It also affects local authorities, project partners, employees, members, electricity customers and everyone who supports the expansion of renewable energy locally.
For us, one thing is clear: the energy transition needs speed, but it also needs reliability. Grids, storage, digitalisation and renewable generation must be considered together and shaped politically in such a way that new projects can continue to be implemented economically.”
