Fixed-price offers, dynamic electricity tariffs, heat pump tariffs for private and commercial customers – Prokon is now expanding its electricity product range specifically for large customers.
Large customers with an annual consumption of 100,000 kWh or more usually require billing via so-called RLM meters (registered power measurement).
These professional electricity meters record consumption every 15 minutes. This results in over 35,000 measurements per year, which are transmitted to the energy supplier as a load profile.
Prokon now has the necessary expertise to provide professional support to RLM customers and calculate tailor-made offers.
Prokon offers large customers various options for their sustainable energy supply:
The demand for sustainable electricity supply for companies is increasing significantly. The reasons for this are:
Mandatory sustainability reports
ESG requirements
Growing awareness of climate protection
Desire for price and supply security
Prokon was able to win Genoverband e.V. as its first Green PPA customer. Since 2025, it has been purchasing wind power directly from the Wittenberg wind farm.
“For us, this is a win-win-win situation,” says Robert Stärkel from Genoverband. “We are committed to sustainable energy, purchase it directly from an energy cooperative, and secure stable prices in the long term.”
Initial practical examples show that the offer is also attractive to smaller RLM customers: since November, a real estate company from Ratingen has been purchasing Prokon green electricity at a fixed price for an industrial park in Münster.
Essnull GbR will also be relying on wind power from Prokon in the future and is organizing the purchase of electricity for two apartment buildings in Berlin with 54 apartments and commercial units; delivery is scheduled to start in 2026. According to owner Nikolaus Karsten, the decisive factors were not only attractive conditions, but above all the high proportion of genuine wind power and the uncomplicated contract conclusion.
With professional RLM billing, flexible tariff models, and the option of direct delivery via Green PPAs, Prokon is also strengthening its position in the market for green electricity for large customers. The combination of in-house wind power generation, transparent origin, and predictable prices meets growing demand from companies for sustainable and reliable energy solutions and offers correspondingly high growth potential.
