Head of Department: Project Implementation (m/f/d)
For the newly established Project Delivery department, which currently comprises around 12–15 employees, we are looking for an experienced, strong leader with a technical background.
As Head of Project Delivery for wind (main focus), PV and battery storage, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from the permitting phase through to commissioning. You will lead the departments of construction, project management and electrical engineering, and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will report directly to the Head of Division.

Leadership and organisation
Strategic and operational management of the Project Delivery department
Technical and disciplinary leadership of the interdisciplinary team consisting of project managers, construction managers and electrical engineers
Responsibility for resource planning, staff development and team expansion
Project responsibility
Ensuring the technical, commercial and schedule-compliant delivery of projects from receipt of planning consent in the areas of wind, solar PV and battery storage
Monitoring and controlling all relevant internal and external interfaces
Responsibility for compliance with all statutory, environmental and health and safety requirements as well as permitting conditions
Communication and coordination
Main point of contact for internal departments (e.g. project development, permitting team, wind turbine procurement, operations management and marketing department) and external project partners (e.g. construction companies, grid operators, certifiers, wind turbine manufacturers)
Representing project delivery to authorities, service providers and project partners
Preparing reports, status analyses and presentations for departmental management and the executive board
Completed technical degree, ideally in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or renewable energy
Several years of professional experience in project management for infrastructure projects, preferably in wind energy; in particular experience in implementation, acceptance and certification of wind farms
Leadership experience as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in handling and carrying out organisational restructurings
Structured way of working
Sound technical and commercial understanding, particularly with regard to civil engineering and electrical engineering
Experience in tendering for and managing construction services and working with external service providers
Very good German skills, good English skills
Category B driving licence
