Head of Project Implementation

As part of our continuous growth, Prokon is establishing a new Project Implementation Department, which will initially consist of approximately 10–12 employees. For this pivotal role, we are seeking an experienced, high-impact leadership personality with a strong technical background.
As Head of Project Implementation—focusing primarily on Wind (core priority), as well as PV and Battery Storage—you will assume overall responsibility for the successful execution of projects from the permitting phase through to commissioning. You will lead the specialized units for Construction, Project Management, and Electrical Engineering, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Division.

Strategic and operational management of the Project Implementation department.
Technical and disciplinary leadership of an interdisciplinary team comprising Project Managers, Site Managers, and Electrical Engineers.
Responsibility for resource planning, personnel development, and team expansion.
Ensuring the technical, economic, and timely implementation of wind, PV, and battery storage projects from the point of permit approval.
Monitoring and controlling all relevant internal and external interfaces.
Responsibility for compliance with all legal, environmental, and safety regulations, as well as permit requirements.
Key point of contact for internal departments (e.g., Project Development, Permitting, Turbine Procurement, Operations & Marketing) and external partners (e.g., construction companies, grid operators, certifiers, and manufacturers).
Representing the implementation phase to authorities, service providers, and project partners.
Preparation of reports, status analyses, and presentations for Senior Management and the Executive Board.
Degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Renewable Energies.
Several years of professional experience in project management for infrastructure projects, preferably in wind energy (specifically in implementation, commissioning, and certification).
Proven leadership experience with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in managing and executing organizational restructuring.
A highly structured way of working.
Sound technical and commercial understanding, particularly regarding construction and electrical engineering.
Experience in tendering and managing construction services and external providers.
Native/Fluent German and good English skills.
Valid Class B driver's license.
