As part of a repowering project in the municipality of Fleetmark (Saxony-Anhalt), eight GE Vernova 6MW-164 wind turbines will be installed. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled for November 2026, with commissioning planned for April 2027.
The modern onshore wind turbines will be manufactured at the GE plant in Salzbergen and will replace older technology at the site. The project was contractually agreed in the second quarter of 2025.
With the repowering in Fleetmark, Prokon is pursuing the goal of efficiently developing existing areas and making a stable contribution to sustainable energy supply.
Systems of this type have already been used in previous projects, such as in Friedersdorf and Langenbach. The decision in favour of GE Vernova is based on previous operating experience and professional cooperation during the course of the project.
