On 18 April 2026, 15 members of Prokon Regenerative Energien eG’s Eastern Advisory Board took part in the large-scale demonstration “Save the Renewables” in Berlin. With a banner and self-made placards, they drew attention to the importance of community energy, green electricity and sustainable investments.

In discussions with numerous participants from the energy sector, it became clear that the cooperative model is seen by many as a key building block for a resilient and future-proof energy supply. Particularly in light of current geopolitical developments, dependence on fossil fuels was viewed critically.
The discussions showed broad agreement: renewable energies represent a decentralised, crisis-resilient and environmentally friendly alternative. At the same time, the shared commitment to the energy transition strengthened cohesion within the Prokon community and provided fresh impetus for future actions.
