Planning ahead means taking responsibility – for yourself and for the next generation. Because Prokon membership is transferred to the heirs upon a member’s death through universal succession. We show you how, as a member, you can already make important decisions today to create clarity for yourself and your loved ones – and to make provision for inheritance matters.
Power of attorney
A power of attorney allows you to authorise a trusted person to act on your behalf – whether in personal matters or financial decisions. It is particularly advisable to grant a power of attorney that remains valid beyond death. This ensures that your interests are protected even in the event of inheritance, and that your affairs can be handled without delay. You can find our 'Membership Authorization' form in the download below.
Tip: If you do not use our form, please make sure to include the phrase "valid beyond death" in your power of attorney.

Transfer of cooperative shares
In addition to granting a power of attorney, the transfer of business shares during your lifetime also plays an important role in personal planning and in preserving assets. The full or partial transfer of your business shares is easily possible and offers a meaningful alternative to terminating your membership.
